Why Choose St. James?
Why Choose St. James Episcopal School?
For over 50 years, St. James Episcopal School has offered a unique blend of Christian, Montessori education for the youngest of our community. Situated in the heart of the Lake Highlands community, St. James serves approximately 200 students ages 18 months through Kindergarten. Utilizing the Montessori approach our programs emphasize hands-on, discovery-based learning that nurtures self-confidence, personal creativity, and the love of learning. Our expansive garden and natural playground also enhance the children's natural curiosity through exploration in our outdoor classroom of learning.
St. James offers three distinct early childhood programs:
- Mother's Day Out - for children between the ages of 18 months and three years - two programs offered (Mon/Wed/Fri and Tues/Thurs)
- Toddler Program - a five-day program, half day or full day, for children between the ages of 18 months and three years
- Primary Program - a five-day program, half day or full day, for children three years old through Kindergarten
We believe the best way to really get a feel for the family atmosphere and educational experience is to view the environment first hand. Please join us for a tour!
