Why Choose St. James?

Why Choose St. James Episcopal School?

For over 55 years, St. James Episcopal School has offered a unique blend of Christian, Montessori education for the youngest of our community.  Situated in the heart of the Lake Highlands community, St. James serves approximately 200 students ages 18 months through Kindergarten.  Utilizing the Montessori approach our programs emphasize hands-on, discovery-based learning that nurtures self-confidence, personal creativity, and the love of learning.  Our expansive garden and natural playground also enhance the children's natural curiosity through exploration in our outdoor classroom of learning.

St. James offers three distinct early childhood programs:

  • Mother's Day Out - for children between the ages of 18 months and three years - two programs offered (Mon/Wed/Fri and Tues/Thurs)
  • Toddler Program - a five-day program, half day or full day, for children between the ages of 18 months and three years
  • Primary Program - a five-day program, half day or full day, for children three years old through Kindergarten
We believe the best way to really get a feel for the family atmosphere and educational experience is to view the environment first hand.  Please join us for a tour!

Please note that St. James requires that all families provide the school with immunization records that demonstrate the student is immunized in accordance with state law.  Please contact the school directly to discuss next steps if your child is on a delayed schedule, has a medical exemption or you plan to submit an affidavit for reasons of conscience.

In compliance with federal and state laws, St. James Episcopal School of Dallas does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, creed, gender, national or ethnic origin, age, marital status, sexual orientation, or disability in administration of its educational policies, admission policies, financial aid program, athletic and other school-administered programs, or the employment of staff.
