Substitute Teacher - Contractor Position

The Substitute Teacher will be assigned to work in various classrooms during the absence of a regular teacher. The Substitute Teacher will be responsible for supervising the children and organizing the classroom environment during the period of absence of the regular classroom teacher.

Specific job responsibilities include:
Assist or lead in classroom activities and events guided by the Montessori philosophy:
* Interacts in a respectful and caring manner with the children by actively participating in their play and learning.
* Maintains a clean and safe environment for the children through general housekeeping.
* Supervises the children in the classroom, playground, and during nap time.
* Ensure that all state and local requirements are met for the supervision of the children.
* Communicates well and as needed with the other teachers and administration

High school diploma or equivalent required.
