I understand that when I enter any of the St. James facilities beyond the designated drop-off and pick-up area, I MUST follow all COVID prevention procedures in place at the time, such as (1) applying hand sanitizer before entering, (2) wearing a mask at all times while inside, or (3) practicing social distancing.*

My child must be free from COVID-19 symptoms to attend class. If, during the day, any of the following symptoms appear, my child will be removed from class to a supervised, secure area. I will be contacted, and my child MUST be picked up within 30 minutes of being notified.*

My child cannot return to the classroom after an illness until one of the following conditions are met: 1) my child is symptom free for 48 hours without the aid of medication, or 2) my child is symptom free for 24 hours with a medical professional's note clearing them for return based on an alternative diagnosis.*

My child’s temperature will be taken throughout the day by the teachers.*

My child will be required to wash their hands using CDC recommended hand- washing procedures throughout the day using running water and rubbing with soap for at least 20 seconds. *

All students older than two years of age may be asked to wear a mask while in the classroom and indoors based on the conditions in Dallas County and recommendations by the CDC. *

In order to reduce my child’s exposure in the community, our family will comply with any all state, county or local orders, and will follow current CDC guidelines while they are in effect. *

I will immediately notify the St. James Head of School if I become aware of any person with whom my child or I have had contact with who has been advised to self- isolate, quarantine, or has tested positive, or is presumed positive for COVID-19. *

I will notify the St. James Head of School if my family has travelled to another country. I will follow the directives set forth by the CDC and Dallas County Health Department upon our return to Dallas.*

I understand that St. James will continue to follow the guidelines of the CDC and state and local agencies and authorities to ensure the health and well-being of all staff and children who enter the facility. St. James commits to keeping families notified of any changes affecting our school community. St. James will contact the Dallas County Health Department and Texas Health and Human Services if any staff member or student contracts COVID-19 or tests positive for COVID-19 and will comply with agency guidance regarding closing any classroom and/or the facility for a specified amount of time. St. James reserves the right to change or suspend operating procedures in light of CDC, Dallas County Health Department, Texas Health and Human Services, the Episcopal Diocese of Dallas or another applicable agency guidance.*

I understand that St. James is required by the Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Dallas to adhere to the most restrictive State and Federal protocols for preschools and daycare centers. The Bishop may also withdraw authorization for St. James to remain open in response to the rapidly changing pandemic conditions. *

I acknowledge and agree that my child will be in contact with children, families, and employees who are also at risk of community exposure and that no list of restrictions, guidelines, or practices will remove 100% of the risk of exposure to COVID-19. I acknowledge that our entire family plays a crucial role in keeping everyone at St. James safe and school open by following the practices outlined herein.*
