St. James Episcopal School of Dallas is committed to providing an excellent academic environment based on Montessori principles for each child. The school also teaches Christian values and the skills necessary for each child to be a productive, cooperative citizen.
All applicants will be evaluated for acceptance based upon the completion of a family questionnaire and observation, if age appropriate. Priority will be given to current students until the end of the established enrollment period, siblings of students currently enrolled at St. James, former Montessori families or children from other Montessori schools, St. James Church families, and staff children.
We believe the best way to really get a feel for the family atmosphere and educational experience of the children is to come take a tour of our school. Tours focus on the specific program of interest and give parents an idea of the structure of the program and the Montessori curriculum. To schedule a tour, please see the information listed under “Plan a Visit.”
After attending a tour of the school, please contact Lisa Wilson in the school office for information on how to apply.
To ensure a cohesive partnership between St. James and our families, we will ask each applicant family to complete a Family Questionnaire that explores aspects of Montessori in the home. Once your application has been received, you will receive additional information regarding completion of the questionnaire.
We also encourage all applicants to attend one of the following education classes to learn about Montessori philosophy and curriculum:
- Toddler Montessori Education: January 18th, 2017, 9:00am to 11:00am
- Primary Montessori Education: January 19th, 2017, 9:00am to 11:00am
- Montessori Tips: October 19th, 2016 and March 28th, 2017, 8:30am to 9:30am

Families will be notified of acceptance in mid-March.
