St. James’ is a Montessori, Christian based school enrolling students’ ages eighteen months through Kindergarten. Our Montessori approach emphasizes hands-on discovery-based learning that nurtures self-confidence, personal creativity, and the love of learning. The school provides a challenging academic curriculum along with art, music, technology, physical education and gardening. The children have the unique opportunity to learn aspects of physical science through experimenting and maintaining their very own garden, thereby nurturing the love of nature and pride of work well done.
St. James’ classrooms are established in the traditional Montessori fashion and children are placed in a class based on age and achievement.
St. James admits students without regard to race, religion, national or ethnic origin and all students have access to all programs and activities. Students are accepted for admission after careful consideration of the child’s potential to be a productive and cooperative member of the school community.
