Toddler - Lead Teacher
Anna Bouldin is returning for her fifth year teaching at St. James Episcopal School. She is the Toddler Program Coordinator and a Lead Toddler Teacher. Anna has a Bachelors of Science in Early Childhood Development from the University of North Texas. She eamed an Infant and Toddler certification from the North American Montessori and Certification/Accreditation in Infant and Toddler from Houston Montessori Center. She feels her role at St. James is to enhance the lives of the young toddlers and help them become independent and confident in their own accomplishments.
After graduating from North Texas in 1992, she married Stephen and moved to Louisville, KY for his Graduate work at the Univ. of Louisville. In ’97, they moved back to Dallas to be closer to family and friends. Anna and Stephen just celebrated their 21st wedding anniversary and have three children; Briana who is 17, Brendan 13, and Brooke 8. She calls them her BB crew. They live in Lake Highlands area and all of their children are St. James alumni. Anna’s interests are her children and keeping up with their extracurricular activities. She is an active volunteer for the PTA and for their church.
Toddler - Lead Teacher
April returns to St. James Episcopal School for her third year. She is excited for her new journey as a Lead Toddler Teacher. April has completed her certification from the North American Montessori center Infant-Toddler training program and has over 20 years of experience working with children. She lives in Carrollton with her husband and three children. She has a set of twins, Jacob and Christian who are in high school and Mia who is a kindergartener and attends St. James. April enjoys spending time with her children, scrapbooking, reading and listening to music.
Coral Birkenback has been at St. James Episcopal School for eight years. She started out helping in the Mother’s Day Out program for several years. She then became a teacher’s assistant and is now returning as a Lead Toddler Teacher at the school. Coral has Infant Toddler training from the North American Montessori Center. She currently attends Colin County Community College working on her Bachelor’s Degree. Coral has a 10 month old baby named Jolene and loves spending time with her family and friends. She enjoys cooking, swimming, running, shopping and listening to good music.
Beatriz A. Castañeda
Toddler - Assistant Teacher
This is Beatriz Castañeda’s first year at St. James Episcopal School. For the 2012-2013 school year, she is the assistant teacher to Anna Mendoza-Bouldin who is the Lead Toddlers Teacher in the Lamb Class. Beatriz has a Bachelors of Arts in Multimedia Journalism and a minor in Creative Writing from the University of Texas at El Paso. After graduating in May 2012, she took interest in the Montessori philosophy and felt that St. James offered a great opportunity for her to learn even more. She packed her things and moved to Dallas, Texas. Beatriz plans to continue her education and obtain a masters degree in the near future. Her interests include cultural studies, reading, writing, making art, working with children and often babysitting her niece and nephew who attend the school. She has experience with newborns, toddlers and primary children.
Martha E. Castañeda
Toddler - Assistant Teacher
Martha E. Castañeda is a Toddler Lamb assistant teacher to Coral Birkenback, Toddler Lead Teacher at St. James Episcopal School. This is Martha’s second year working at St. James. After taking interest in the Montessori Method, Martha enrolled her two children Sophia and Timothy into St. James. Martha attended the University of Texas at El Paso and is currently obtaining her American Montessori Society certification. She is married to Hector and enjoys spending time with her family. Martha enjoys traveling, taking her children to the park and going to the movies.
Lenuta (Lilly) Petrini
Toddler Lamb- Assistant Teacher
Lenuta (Lilly) Petrini is a Toddler Assistant teacher in April Villareal's Classroom.. This is her second year at St. James Episcopal School. Lilly is from Romania and after graduating from a university there, she worked as an accountant in a Christian Orphanage. She has experience working with toddlers and children. She married in 2005 and moved to Dallas, Texas. Lilly has a 5 year old son, Villy, who is a Kindergarten student here at St. James. During her spare time, Lilly enjoys cooking and taking walks at the park.
This is Jana Calderon’s first full year at St. James Episcopal School. She is an assistant teacher to Coral Birkenback. Jana has a background in Early Childhood Development. Jana lives in the Lake Highlands area with her husband, Adolfo, and they have four children, Kohl, Allison, Koen and Eva. Jana enjoys spending time with her family as well as shopping and traveling.
Eliane Khairallah is a Toddler Assistant teacher in April Villareal’s Classroom. This is Eliane's first year at St. James Episcopal School but this is her third year experience working in a Montessori program. Eliane is from Lebanon and she graduated in May 2011 with a bachelor degree in EC-6th grade Interdisciplinary Studies from University of Texas at Dallas. Eliane has a lot of experiences working with kids of all ages. She enjoys traveling, scrapbooking, spending time with family and friends and working with children. She also likes movies, music, swimming and shopping.
